Avengers Assemble

As part of our revamp of FOF...Savanna and I concluded to make it a "fandom friendly" blog!!  We'll celebrate all fandoms that strike our fancy...mainly focusing on Marvel Comic Super-heroes/Avengers, Disney's TRON: Legacy, and Indiana Jones!!  Star Wars will always be our main focus, and the posting schedule when it comes to TCW reviews and other posts will remain.

Anyway, I'll get to the point of this post!  This is Fangirls on Felucia's FIRST EVER AVENGERS POST. WOO!! I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE Avengers fangirl. If you don't know what The Avengers are....you are either A. living under a rock, or B. need to buy some movies.

The Avengers are a group of super awesome super-heroes who each have their own stories and joined forces to fight for the good of America, and the World.  They call themselves "The Avengers", or "Earth's Mightiest Heroes". I'll break down a bit more about each Avenger, and what the Avenger fandom really consists of. Joining me in this post is my fellow Avenger fangirl Tara, who is my go-to-girl for all things Marvel and Avengers!!

(Fallon's Avenger Info)

Captain America, the First Avenger.  Captain America is my favorite Avenger, he's amazing and I love him.  But moving on.  Captain America is actually from the 1940's. And this is where a few of you who have been living under rocks say to me:
"But Fallon, isn't he like...OLD???"
Yes, yes he is. But allow me to explain. Captain America's real name is Steve Rogers. Steve is just a guy from Brooklyn, New York, who became America's first ever Super-Soldier. He was injected with a special serum that changed his overall appearance and gave him superhuman strength and power. He fought in World War II, defeating the evil H.Y.D.R.A. agents and their leader, Red Skull/Johann Schmidt. Steve sacrificed himself to save the world, and spent 70 years in suspended animation (frozen in carbonite...so to speak) so when he woke up, he was just as young looking as he was when he was frozen in the 40's, except he was in 2012. Watch the movie Captain America: The First Avenger for Steve's full story.

Tony Stark is Iron Man.  Tony is, in his own words, a "multi-millionaire playboy philanthropist". Iron Man is heroic, though he only came about when Tony Stark, a brilliant inventor and the head of Stark Industries, was in dire need of escape. He built a super-suit to power his way out of encampment when captured by terrorists who wanted him to build him a weapon. Later, Tony realizes that he can use his super suit, which is powered by an arc-reactor that keeps him alive, for good!! He saves the world from evil, and he turns out to be a very good person in the end. Iron Man, and Iron Man 2 (the sequel) show us that Tony does have a heart for humanity, so to speak, and also a heart for Pepper, his personal assistant.  Though Tony’s character mainly consists of his cocky-self-centered-egoistic nature, you can tell that he does have a sincere concern for good in the world.  Iron Man is my (Fallon’s) second favorite Avenger.

Black Widow is another one of my (Fallon's) favorites. SHE is a kick-butt super spy, who looks a lot like my favorite Star Wars character, Mara Jade. Black Widow's real name is Natasha Romanova, and she is one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s top agents. She was featured in Iron Man 2, when she helped Tony Stark save the world from evil-doers. Known for her advanced skills in self defense and acrobatics, Natasha is a force to be reckoned with. I can't wait to see her in Avengers, where she will be back and better than ever, defending SHIELD and the world from evil!!!

The Hulk is my least favorite Avenger. His true identity is Bruce Banner, a scientist who was infected with Gamma ray toxins that, when his emotion runs high, turns him into a giant rage monster, the Hulk. When the U.S. government tried to control The Hulk's rage, they ended up causing more problems for themselves and the world when experiments go wrong and worse monsters are created!! Ultimately, the Hulk saves the world but ends up going back into Exile, because the Government thinks he's an just a monster, even though he saved them! The Hulk returns in The Avengers movie, and I am interested to see where his story goes.

(Tara's Avengers Info)

Clint Barton aka Hawkeye is the master archer of the Avengers team. He first appeared as a cameo character in Thor, under the name Barton. Agent Coulson ordered for “a eye in the sky,” and Clint grabs his high-tech bow to stop Thor from reclaiming the Mjolnir. The skirmish ended before any arrows were let free. For the Avengers movie, Hawkeye upgrades from cameo to Avenger. Sporting the most high-tech bow money can buy, and being nothing less of the greatest archer in history, {not to mention his handsomeness}, I can’t wait to finally see him in action.

Thor is officially titled ‘The Mightiest Avenger.” Thor is the God of Thunder and heir to the throne of the realm of Asgard. In the Thor movie, because of his selfish, greedy actions, he is exiled from Asgard by his father, the King Odin. Meanwhile, his younger brother Loki becomes king and then begins a plot of revenge against the neighboring realm. Powerless and mortal on earth, Thor meets Jane Foster, an astrophysicist, and falls in love. Thor has to overcome his pride and reclaim his weapon, the Mjolnir hammer, to save the earth and all 9 realms from his brother’s schemes. By the help of his friends who came to earth to rescue him, Thor returns to Asgard to face Loki. The fight ends with Loki defeated, and fallen into a wormhole. {later you find out that’s how he gets to earth for the Avengers} As for the Avengers, Thor returns to earth {we don’t know how until the movie} to help fight his brother who is bent to dictate power over humanity. Thor is my (Tara’s) favorite hero, closely followed by Hawkeye and Captain America.

Thank you all for reading and discovering more about one of our favorite fandoms. Comment either here, or message us on Twitter or Facebook to let us know who's your favorite Avenger!

Fan Interview: Ashley H.

The fan interviews have returned! Today's Q&A session was with Ashley H. of Cheery-O. Enjoy!

When and how did you become a Star Wars fangirl?

I was actually born with Star Wars! My dad grew up on the original trilogy, and showed us how to love it! As little kids, we always loved to watch Star Wars.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why?

Character? Not CharacterS? Eeehhh....Hard one. I would have a hard time picking between Padme (In TPM, I like her devotion to her people, and her strong sense of duty.  In AOTC, I enjoy her spunk and fighting spirit. In ROTS, she is my least favorite, she turned all mushy there, but that could be due to pregnancy hormones) and Darth Vader (He is a bad guy, and one thats more machine then man. 'Nuff said).

What is your favorite Star Wars movie and why?

ROTS (It seemed to wrap everything up in a nice bundle with a cherry on top.  Plus, Darth Vader emerges, plus, it has an AWESOME music score), ROTJ (I get all teary at the end), and AOTC (Everything).

Do you have any crushes on men/characters in the saga?

*smirk* Who doesn't? I like Vader, but, really, Han is more my crush type. However, Ewan McGregor really does something to my soul.

Do you think a fangirl's perspective of Star Wars may differ from a fanguy's view?

Certainly. A fan girl is more into the emotional side, and a guy's would probably be more into the action.

What would you say to someone who's never seen Star Wars?

"Where have you been all your life?"

Is there anyone involved with Star Wars that you'd like to meet someday?

George Lucas, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, and Carrie Fisher (I have an aunt that looks like Leia).

Anything else you'd like to say?

First off, I am really glad to be interviewed on here! Second, some of you may know, I am also a Trekkie *Dodges Tomatoes*, ok, ok, settle down! I will give this to Star Wars: It wrote a tragic love story, a complete saga, a piece of art, while, I think that is something Star Trek failed at. Plus, Star Trek hasn't got nearly as memorable a musical score as Star Wars!

The Weekend That Rocked The Galaxy

Savanna and I (Fallon) had the incredible blessing to get to do something fantastic this weekend. Wanna know what?

We MET EACH OTHER. For the first time.  In "real" life. See?

The best part was...it was a total surprise for Savanna. My mom and dad had previously contacted her parents, and then (due to recent events leaving me in emotional turmoil) they let me in on the secret as a pick-me-up. On Friday, February 17th, at about 6:45pm, I met my best friend in real life. Savanna's reaction was priceless. A mixture of total shock, excitement, joy and more shock. I'll never forget the first thing she said to me in person. "SHUT. UP.  NO. WAY." We had dinner together that night at Chili's near where my hotel was, and during that time all poor, confused Savanna said was "OMG. OH MY GOSH. OMG. OH MY GOSHHHH!!!! HOW DID YOU DO THIS?!? HOW?? HOW???? HOWWWW???" over and over and over...

After dinner, we couldn't bear to part with one another, so after ten billion hugs that evening, we parted momentarily to go to Lowe's. There happened to be a Lowe's right next door to my hotel, so it was an easy trip over. While my parents chatted with Savanna's parents, my sister Glory and Savanna's brother Chase, and Savanna and I, wandered Lowe's by ourselves. It was fantastic. So. Much. Fun. No one was actually in the store that late, so we had the place to ourselves. We talked, hugged, giggled, and played Star Wars!!! Chase showed us different plumbing tools used to create lightsabers and stuff. It was awesome.

Savanna and I were both surprised when our parents told us that we didn't have to say goodbye just yet...because Savanna's amazing parents invited my family over to spend the day (Sunday) together!!!!!!!!  EEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Now THAT was the best day of my life thus far.  It was incredibly fun, and I will never forget it.

After spending Saturday with my parents at a HUGE antique show, Glory and I were looking forward to Sunday with all our hearts. When I woke up bright and early (which, if you know me, is something I rarely EVER do), Savanna's good morning tweet to me was: "*whispers* Are you awake?? I'm seeing you in a few hours!! -squee-" We were both bouncing off of Twitter's cyberwalls, and around noon on Sunday I arrived at Savanna's house.

The rest of the day included Star Wars, zip-lineing, lunch, see-sawing, photoshoots, light painting, dinner, trivia, squee-ing, jumping, giggling, talking, more talking, even more talking, and not leaving. Until we had to leave, in which case I spent a long time sobbing in joy and sadness of leaving.

See-sawing. I hadn't done that since I was a little kid.

Zip-lineing. Now I don't think I've EVER done that, so that was TOTALLY awesome.

Glory ready to chop Chase's head off...her little face looks so evil!!

Yours truly!! I love this shot!

Savanna, me, and Glory. This is our "serious" shot. It came out wonderful if you ask me.

This is our "Anakin and Ahsoka" shot. Remember that scene from the Clone Wars movie?  Glory and I recreated it.

EPIC HIGH FIVE!!!

I died.

Our photoshoot was beyond awesome, as you can tell. Savanna and I had the best day of our lives, and it was just beyond epic. That is our little surprise for you all...the creators of Fangirls on Felucia finally got to meet in person, and spend the day together. What do you think of our pictures? I'm also loading two videos to YouTube when I have good internet connection and I'll work on putting up a fanfic I wrote Savanna in honor of our visit together. Enjoy this post, and let us know your thoughts!

Fangirl In Training

Fallon here!  This amazing post is all about my baby sister, (not such a baby, she's ten...), Glory!  Glory is awesome.  She is waaaaay cooler than I EVER was at her age, and she's the geek girl everyone wants to hang around with because she's so awesome.

My sister is actually the reason I got interested in Star Wars!!!!  She was a die-hard Clone Wars fan when it first came out in theaters, and because she automatically loved anything with the Star Wars label on it, she made me buy her the Original Trilogy on VCR from a thrift store, which lead to this crazy obsession.  Now Glory is definitely a TCW generation fan, but she understands and likes the entire SW Saga.  She even gets into the EU with me, since that's what I like best.

Glory makes geeky-nerdy-awesome references that no one else (except a few boys and me) understand.  I think we're the only kids I know who play "Thor" at the playground, and beg Heimdall to open the Bifrost for us while on the swings.  She's the only little girl I know who joins the boys in Nerf Gun War, telling the boy who slips and starts to cry to "suck it up shiny".  This child is amazing.

Glory loves to dress as a Jedi.  She makes her American Girl dolls dress as Jedi, and gives them toy lightsabers (goodness, we have a billion of them, all shapes and sizes..).  She collects action figures, she has me read her fanfics and pro-fics, and she draws the most incrediblly adorable pictures.
Glory's latest obsession is the movie Thor, from Marvel.  She and I (as well as our cousin) are in LOVE with the Avengers, and we'll quote the movies all the time.  Glory is especially  in love with Thor, and she's created her own character, similar to how I create my own characters!!!

My Valentine yesterday was addressed "To Fallon: From Glory", and it was a picture of X-Wing Fallon in her ship, shooting her laser guns at a large explosion-heart that said, "BOOM" above it.

Savanna is also Glory's fangirl friend, her second Older Sister, in fact!!!  Glory is absolutely in love with Savanna, and does things EXTRA cute, just to make her feel special.  She drew Savanna a "Pampa", which is a cross between Savanna's two favorite animals, the Panda and the Wampa.  She also drew her a picture of Cad Bane and some pandas for Christmas last year......

Glory is my padawan in most respects.  She is learning to be an even cooler fangirl through me, and I'm honored to teach her.  This chick so going to grow up to be the most epic, awesome, confident, beautiful fangirl the world has ever seen.  Look out galaxy, Glory, Jedi Knight and Goddess of Lighting is coming for you!!!

Star Wars Original Characters: How To Do Them Right

As Fangirls on Felucia's Fanfiction Guru...I decided to write up a tutorial on how to make fun and creative original characters for the Star Wars fandom, without worrying about canon.

I'll also introduce you to my Original Characters (and throw in a bit of self publicity). I came up with my OC (original character) family on a whim. I was debating doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month for those of you who don't know) for the first time in 2010, and decided to go ahead and come up with a character on the night of November 1st (the day NaNo starts). I was terrified and had NO idea as to what I was doing, but I jumped in anyway, creating the character of Marilee Sunstar. Mari (her nickname) was my first OC, and my second favorite (only to my personal RolePlay character). When I created the character, I only had a name, and a very, very vague idea for a novel. That vague idea turned into my first ever novel, Reaching For The Stars.
I'm going to break down the Star Wars Original Character building process. Then I'll go ahead and introduce my four favorite OCs.

Characters are simple to create. Take anything, any idea, any whim any inspiration and just create a character for it!! Your characters can be whatever you want them to be!! That's what is so awesome about OCs, you can make them as awesome, as evil, as fun, as silly, as stupid, as crazy, as reckless, or as epic as you want!!

Step One: Who are they?
Who are they gonna be? A Jedi? A Sith? An X-Wing Pilot? A TIE fighter pilot? A Smuggler? A CorSec agent? A Bounty Hunter? A Clone Trooper? Who are they? Once you decide that, (and it can be WHATEVER you want), pick their species. Human? Torgruta? Twi-Lek? Wookiee? It's up to you!!

Step Two: Names
Names are quite important. Not only are they fun to come up with, but they're also really important about the character's...character! If they have an evil sounding name, but they're a good guy, it could be misleading! (or an awesome plot twist/character development...hmmmm...) then again, if it's too bland, it could be boring! Your character has to have a name that reflects their personality. Are they dashing, are they proud? Are they strong? Are they weak? Are they deep? Are they shallow? Explain their character traits and what you want them to be like before naming them. And to come up with some awesome and unique Star Wars-y names...go here: Star Wars Name Generator.

Step Three: Design
What do they look like?! If they aren't humans this can be fairly simple, but it's still important!! If your new character is a Twi-Lek, what color skin and head-tails does he/she have? What color eyes? What tone of voice? Accent? Wardrobe? Style? Personality in general? The design of your character should not contradict the character's personality. If your character is soft and easy going, she/he should not be wearing a crazy biker outfit. If the person is in costume or disguise, then exceptions are the be made, of course.

Step Four: Play
Write...RolePlay...whatever you want!! Enjoy your new character. Have fun with them, put them in fun situations with your favorite existing characters in the Star Wars saga. Don't worry about messing up continuity, make your own! AU (alternate universe) is the fanfic writer's paradise. My NaNo novel started out fairly true to continuity, but in the end it ended up going AU. I was worried to do that at first, but I ended up going with it and am very happy with the end result. Now I'm writing a sequel! Woo! You never know where your characters will take you.

Now I'll introduce you to my four favorite OCs that I've created, to show you what it could be like to have your own!

pic made for me by my friend Tara
1.  Marilee Sunstar.  Mari was my first OC, and she's still my favorite (next to my RP as stated before). Mari is the "mom" figure to my characters, she takes on a leadership role, when she's not exactly a leader at first.  She has a big heart and a strong will, and I love her for it.  She is a Jedi Padawan during The Clone Wars, and was Knighted shortly before Order 66 was issued. Throughout Revenge of the Sith and afterwards is when my novel takes place, and her adventures start when the chaos ensues. Mari is forced to make decisions about her life that she thought as a Jedi, she'd never have to come to face with, especially when it comes to her heart. *hint hint* Mari has red hair and blue-green eyes. She's only about 22 years old when my novel starts, I believe. I love writing Mari...writing her now versus two years ago makes it feel like I'm returning to an old friend. She's still just as fun to write, and she's become like a second mother to me almost. (in a bizarre sense, as you'll find out next on my favorite character list, haha)

also made for me by tara
2.  Fallon Sunstar.  Fallon is my personal OC.  She is every bit like me, except more awesome.  Fallon is the daughter of Marilee and favorite-OC-number-3, Mari's husband. She is a Jedi Knight in training, and she's just so much fun! When I write her, I'm writing myself. My feelings, my actions, my thoughts. Fallon was created a while ago...long before Reaching for the Stars was even in the works. I created Fallon for RolePlay, and for fanfics. She/I am featured in my story I'm Trapped In The Star Wars Universe, which is actually just about me rather than her character. Fallon is also an X-Wing pilot, and a leading member of the Rebel Alliance. She has a dedicated boyfriend (Derek "Hobbie" Klivian, of Rogue Squadron), and takes after her mother in looks. Red hair, and green eyes.  Fallon is super special to me, because my dear friends Tara and Lareen and I write a fun Role Play-ish story together about our OCs, and Fallon is a leading member of Rogue Squadron in that story.  She's amazing, and goes on many adventures. I could go on forever on how much I love her character.

also made by tara
3. Shadow Sunstar. Shadow is a complicated character but a fun one. He's the ideal husband, in my eyes, haha. He's a Clone Trooper, but a Force Sensitive one. An overused idea, I know, but I've been told by many that I do it right, so I'll just go with it. Shadow was a character with a funny back-story on how I created him. I was in dance class, stretching and bored out of my mind, when I came up with him. I was brainstorming about my story, thinking of where I would go from the first three and a half chapters I had. All I had written was stuff about Marilee and I wanted/needed a supporting character. I was stretching under the ballet bars, against the wall, and I got the idea for Shadow. I was so excited, I jumped up and smacked my head on the bar, and proceeded to get all excited over my new love-interest character. Shadow is sweet and loving, and he's everything I could ever want in a fictional boyfriend.  While you girls quarrel over Rex, or Fives or Wolffe *cough Savanna cough* I'll sit here with Shadow and be happy. He's as close to perfect as they come.  He doesn't have much character conflict, unlike Mari and Fallon especially. When I say "supporting character" I mean it, he offers Mari support and love during the hardest times in her life.

4.  Maryanna Sunstar. Maryanna is special to me because my "in real life" best friend was the only person to be reading this story when it was in the works. I already put it on fanfiction.net, so I'll embarrass her a bit more and put it out again. When the story started, as a joke, I put a character in the story with the same name as a guy she had a crush on. She said that she was totally okay with it, as long as she could be his girlfriend in the book. I agreed, and Maryanna Sorun-Sunstar was created. It was a hilarious inside joke (still is) and we'll often refer to each other as Mari and Maryanna, or Master Sunstar. It's fun! Maryanna was one of the supporting characters who was minor at first but later became important. She and her boyfriend counterpart, Clay Sunstar, are majorly important in the plot of Reaching for the Stars, and even more important in the sequel fic, Celestial Eclipse, which is still being written.

Clay and Maryanna made on Azalea's dolls
One character of mine definitely deserves an honorable mention...and that would be Ember Sparkstone!! Ember is more of a legendary epic hero than she is a Star Wars character. Ember is...well...Ember. She is based...no, she IS my cousin. And Ember is way too awesome to sum up in words, so you'll just look at this picture instead.

Alright everyone, I hope you enjoyed this post on the amazing Fangirls on Felucia! Also, comment and tell me about your characters. Do you have any? Any plans for some? Be sure to let me know. I hope I was some help in the creative planning process.

The REAL Han and Leia

Hey friends!  Fallon here!

Now you may be curious about the title to this post.....the REAL Han and Leia. Explanation?  My parents. You are probably thinking I'm insane right about now.  I'm not insane. My parents might be, but I am not. Yet.

My mom and dad are very seriously convinced that they are Han Solo and Leia Organa.  I am 100% not joking.  They talk in quotes, they refer to things in real life as Star Wars things, they read the books together, they watch the movies and reenact certain scenes....

Sometimes I think it's weird, other times I think it's awesome. My mom frequents a blog called "Han and Leia Fanfic Writers" and reads and writes fanfiction. She's pretty good....but it's sometimes hard to read my mom's work. My dad could be Han Solo. He is as blunt, sarcastic, hilarious and outspoken as Captain Solo himself, and sometimes (like when we went out to dinner on Friday night) that's not always a good thing. We are constantly taking Han Solo quotes and saying "Daddy would SOOO do that!" (my sister and I).

I love when my dad calls my mom from work and they talk in "code".  It usually  goes like this:

Mom: Hello?
Dad:  Hi Princess...
Mom:  Helloooo dear...
Dad:  I love you
Mom:  I know.
Me:  *facepalm and run from room*

He calls her Princess on a daily basis.  It's seriously her nickname.  I am no longer the princess of the family....

It's really fun to confuse little kid Star Wars fans.  My sister's best friend's brother is a bit younger than me (by a bit I mean like three or four years) and I love to mess with him about my parents.  He'll be bragging about some Star Wars fact he knows, and I'll just trump all by saying:
"My mom and dad are Han and Leia."
He'll just stare at me like I'm insane, and then my sister comes to back me up on that.

Some mental scarring does take-place.....but mostly, I love my parents for being crazy Star Wars fans too.  I would be very sad if I was all alone in liking it.

The point of this post is this.  A while back I recorded my parents talking and answering questions as Han Solo and Princess Leia.  I had to decipher what they were saying (between the howling laughter, poker chips and margarita blender sounds) but this will be the interview, in written form.  Or....most of it.  Some is too full of innuendos to be on this (or any of my) blog(s).  Bad Han...

Anyway, enjoy!!

Fallon Sunstar:  Hello!  Welcome, Readers of Fangirls on Felucia, to a LIVE interview with the one and only, SOLO FAMILY!!  Han and Leia Organa-Solo have agreed to do an interview with me, for all of you!  Enjoy and read on!!
FS:  Han and Leia, thank you for doing this interview with me!
LOS:  It’s our pleasure.
HS:  Yeah.
FS:  Well, first question!  Han, I’m sure you’ve been asked this before, but my readers demand the truth.  Who really shot first?
HS:  *smirks*  Leia.
LOS:  *nods approvingly*  It’s true.
FS:  Good answer.  Next question…Leia, how did you feel when you found out that Luke Skywalker was your brother?
LOS: ….
HS: *interrupts*  RELIEF.  She could finally be free of that whine bag.
LOS:  *elbows Han in ribs*
FS:  O.O  Haha!!!  Okay then.  Next question is….Who is your favorite child?
HS:  Favorite child…..?
LOS:  We don’t choose favorites-
HS:  But if we had to pick, we’d pick our nephew!  Schmooey!!!
FS:  O.o  Uhhhmm….do you  mean, Ben Skywalker…your nephew?
HS: Yeah, Ben.  We call him Schmooey for short.
FS:  Schmooey is shorter than Ben??
LOS:  Duh!  That’s what we call him, and he loves it.
HS:  My only hope is that someday Schmooey will get bigger than the old man and be able to beat him up.  I’ll root for him too, “GO SCHMOOEY GO!!!!”
LOS:  *highfive*
FS:  *stares at Solo’s with mouth hanging open*  What the…anyway…..next question.  Leia, why did it take you so long to become a Jedi?
LOS:  Well, I was busy with the New Republic and-
HS:  She had better things to do.
LOS:  *glares at Han*  As I was saying….I didn’t agree with all their standards and-
HS:  Standards?  We don’t need to get all religious on it, I just wanted you to learn how to float stuff and that’s it!
LOS:  What?  Han-
HS:  I mean, I’d love for you to levitate me, but you don’t try very often….
LOS:  Just because I did that one time-
HS: Let alone, you put the chokehold on me like your father!
LOS:  You know, you’re going to be very lonely.
HS:  But I’ll forever have that image of you burned in my…
LOS: Shut up! This is a G rated….PG rated interview!
HS:  Hey!  Never tell me the odds!
LOS:  You ARE odd!!
HS:  Ancient Weapons and Hokey Religions are…oh wait, that’s from when I starred in that movie called Raiders of the Lost Ark….
LOS:  Oh yes, when you starred in a bunch of other movies about some archeologist….I like archeology….
HS:  Well it’s never too late to try again with those types of things…
LOS:  That’s right.  And you just recently did one with the aliens and cowboys, right?
HS:  Oh no, I don’t do aliens.  Things get messy when it’s aliens.  *shakes head*
FS:  Please…may I ask the next question?
LOS:  You looked really old there though…
HS:  Makeup crew.  Best I’ve ever seen.
FS:  Please?  Captain Solo?  President Organa?
LOS:  See, the thing about me not becoming a Jedi is that I think-
HS:  Here we go again.  The problem is, that we have children who refuse to be thinkers, and they’re surrounded by the biggest thinker we know…she’s kinda like Pooh Bear…THINK THINK THINK…it’s all she does!  She thinks non-stop!  She wakes up in the middle of the night:  I’m thinking of something!!  SURPRISE!!!!!
FS:  Captain Solo-
LOS: You know, maybe I will take on more Jedi Training.
HS:  Bring it on Princess.
FS:  This will be on the Holonet….you might want to get back to the interview please!
LOS:  Well, I know we’ll never see it.  Because YOU are always buying parts for the Falcon instead of a new Holonet station!
FS:  This interview has been lost…
HS:  No I have not!  Things need to be fixed….what would you like more, a new Holonet station or a working ship!
LOS:  Forget it.
FS:  Can I…
HS:  I think we’re done here, aren’t we Miss…Sunstar, was it?
FS:  *sigh*  Yes…we’re done.  Thank you Captain Solo, and President Organa-Solo, for your time.

That was all them....I made up nothing.  The questions were submitted to me by friends on The Lakehouse Forums.  Comment and let me know....is my family as crazy as I think they are?  I love them either way...hope you do too!!!

To my mom and dad (who I will ensure read this post)  you are both awesome.  I love you and I am so excited that you are so into Star Wars with me.  As crazy as you are, I'd not want anything any other way.  Love you!

Fanfiction Review: Comedy Stories

Who here likes to laugh? I know I do, and as the self-proclaimed queen of sarcasm....(okay, maybe not queen, but still....I'm quite sarcastic when I want to be..) I know hilarity when I see it. These are a few of my favorite funny fanfics. Most are written by friends or people whom I admire, so read on!

My amazing and very random friend, Bluesaber3 wrote the most hilarious trilogy of stories that I (and Savanna) have EVER read. It has everything from Ahsoka getting hyper on coffee, Anakin having a bizaare obsession with unicorns to Obi-Wan eating too much candy!! Then there's the great crayon vs. corndog war, and Mace Windu trying to woo Aayla Secura. "Check for your pulse" has become an everyday term in my house, and so have many other quotes from Bluey's amazing fanfics.
NotSoNormalWeekOne  NotSoNormalWeekTwo  NotSoNormalWeekThree

Han Solo gets his own holo-documentary in this hilarious and very fun fanfic by my friend GreatOneHow Han Solo Became A Hero is by far one of the funniest and best fanfics I have ever read. I never tire of it.

Also by GreatOne....Exchanging Places is another favorite of mine.  In this very insane story, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker somehow switch bodies, which leads to disaster and hilarity for our favorite characters!!  Find out what happens! (seriously people, this is one of my favorites, I am gonna re-read it too.)

One of my favorite authors in the fanfiction universe is JediMara77. She has written an INCREDIBLE collaboration story with LaneWinree about X-Wing Rogue Squadron on an insane mission to a lovely planet called "Plooma". With Luke and Mara romance and plenty of hilarity, this story is one of my favorites. Be warned though, younger kids shouldn't read it, as there is quite a bit of awkward sexual tension (that's part of what makes it so hilarious though! XD). I'd say 14 and up are good to read though. By far one of my all time favorite stories EVER.

I hope you enjoy, and laugh! Let me know how you like these stories, and if you'd like to see any specific reviews.

Fanfiction Review: Han and Leia

Here's a fanfiction post dedicated to everyone's favorite Star Wars couple....Han and Leia!! I got into fanfiction a few years back....and thanks to several friends of mine I am now the QUEEN of Fanfiction! (well, at least on The Lakehouse Forums I am!) I have read and reviewed several stories, and I am a beta-reader for hire (free of charge). I have read dozens of (okay, HUNDREDS of) fanfics, and I will review them here on FOF for you all to enjoy!!!! I will be honest, and give fair warnings if some stories are a bit more...ah...suggestive, than others. Enjoy!

Darth Tromeros's Stories:  I'm actually just going to link you to a friend of mine, Darth Tromeros.  She writes mainly Han and Leia fanfiction, and it's all WONDERFUL.  Because they are simple one shots, you can just choose which ones you'd like to read from her list.  :)

Endless Night:  I have said it before and I'll say it again.  This fanfic is one of my all time favorites.  It is written by a friend of mine, (goodness, I have a lot of friends) and GreatOne does an AMAZING job.  Her stories are almost all Han and Leia or just Han centered, which is great for fans of him.....*coughSavannacough*  I have read this story probably ten times, and I still have not tired of it. The essential plot of this story is that after being frozen in Carbonite, Han Solo does NOT regain his sight.  Instead, he and Leia (and Luke and Chewie too) have to learn to deal with Han's newfound disability.  This is a fantastic story that deals with the trials our favorite characters face.  The sequel (Blind Ambitions) is probably my favorite of the two stories, and both have me madly in love with our characters.

Breakthrough: This story is by a friend of mine (wow, look, more friends) whom I beta-read for, Emma Solo!! This story is fantastic. It deals with Han and Leia on the trip to Bespin, and discovering their true feelings. It's super sweet, very good and extremely well written. Props Emma! And definitely check this story out fans of "Haneia"!!!

Broken Circle: OH MY GOSH. This one made me sooooobbbbb. No worries, it has a happy ending, but still, BOY DID IT JUST KILL ME! (in a very emotional sense, haha).  Essentially, Han has to raise his three Force Sensitive children after Leia is murdered mysteriously (Chewie's killed too, I believe). Han pushes Luke and Mara out of his life, and tries to handle things by himself, which ends up hurting both him and the kids more in the long run. Eventually, they (Luke, Mara and Han) discover that Leia is indeed not dead, and they rescue her from the evils! YAY! Read to find out what happens!

Separate Lives: This one is fantastic. I really enjoyed it. Has anyone read The Courtship of Princess Leia? Well, if so, this is a very AU (Alternate Universe) take on that story.  Instead of stopping Leia from marrying Isolder, Han steps out of the way, not feeling worthy of the princess. He soon regrets his decision and falls into depression. This story is how fate (or the Force?!) manages to work it's way into both Leia and Han's lives....while on a cruise! Again, read to find out what happens! This one might have a bit of suggestive material, but nothing TOO bad, I promise.

That concludes this post on Fanfiction....look back soon for more awesome fanfics!! What other fanfics do you think I should review?

**NOTE** All the fanfiction posted on here is not mine.  The links provided click to the authors and the stories on Fanfiction.net.

Fan Art Frenzy

There are many incredible artists in the world. We especially like the ones who do wonderful Star Wars fan art. Below are just a few of our favorite fan art pieces (click on each picture to enlarge it).

Savanna's Favorites

This female deathwatch drawing by Thomas A. Szakolczay is really awesome! I find this to be one of my very favorite fan art drawings because the girl resembles me greatly and is wearing armor of my favorite colors.

Grant Gould does some fantastic work but this conception of Cad Bane is my absolute favorite in his portfolio. The crossed blasters in front of Bane's chest is completely epic.

Mark McHaley is another brilliant artist with a very unique style. This beautiful picture of Anakin and Padme from Episode II is just perfect. He also gave this an interesting title..."Doomed from the Start."

This picture by Sean Sebastian holds a lot of emotion. I love how Commander Cody is portrayed in a regretful way as a result of the horrific Order 66.

Fallon's Favorites

This beyond epic crossover picture by Grant Gould combines two of my all time favorite things...Luke and Mara and TRON: Legacy! It's amazing.

This beautiful Luke and Mara picture by FalconFan on DeviantART is AMAZING. I love it!!  Green is SO Mara's color!

Awesome picture of some of my favorite X-Wing Pilots....Tycho Celchu (in the black), Wedge Antilles (in orange) and Corran Horn *squee* (in green). By Callista1981 on DeviantART.

This piece of fanart is for a fanfic called "X-Wings: Knights of Plooma" written by JediMara77 and Lane Winree.  The picture is drawn by Svenjaliv on DeviantART.  I love the fanfic, and this picture is a PERFECT drawing of it! And, it has all my favorite characters: Corran, Luke, Mara and Hobbie! *squee*

We will be featuring plenty more fan art in future posts for Fangirls on Felucia. If you're an artist and want to share your artwork in one of these entries, please email us at fangirlsonfelucia@gmail.com.
